Rules

The actual summit must be reached, that is the very "tippy-tippy top". Peaks may only be counted once. Cumulative scores progress to peak bagger titles, the titles are:

Less than 50 points - Downright Idle

50 to 99 points - member of Old Laggs Brigade

100 to 199 points - Dishonourable Peak Bagger

200 to 399 points - Honorable Peak Bagger

400 + points - Peak Bagger Extraordinaire

History

The peak-baggers guide dates back to 1968, to an article by Tim Christie, "A Peak Bagger's Guide to Tasmania", The Tasmanian Tramp. And later revised by Geoff Morffew, "Peak-Baggers Guide revised", The Tasmanian Tramp.
