Tasmanian Devil in Danger!

It has been over ten years since the facial tumor disease was discovered in the Tasmanian Devil. Since then nothing has been developed to prevent nor cure the disease - it still remains an anomoly.
The disease has been found to cover 65% of the state of Tasmania, mainly across the East, but at least 3 cases have also been confirmed in the South. It is believed that the Tasmanian Devil population has diminished by 20-50% as a result of the disease.
The disease starts as lesions and lumps around the Devil's mouth, these then develop into cancerous tumors that spread throughout the Devil's body. The tumors' impact on the Devil's ability to feed, so infact, starvaition may take the Devil's life before the cancer does.
Several government and independant initiatives are in place to prevent the disease from wiping out the Tasmanian Devil population and also to aid researchers in developing a prevention/cure for the disease - they need the public's support!
If you would like to donate to this very worthwhile cause, please visit the following link, a foundation setup by the University of Tasmania - http://www.utas.edu.au/foundation/devil.htm.
They need our help!
